Gaende is no stranger behind the mirror: Yolan had already played for us before. He is back here with one hour thirty-two that moves from progressive techno to house and back again, nothing cut. The set starts right after midnight and holds until half past one in the morning — the stretch where a night stops being told and starts being lived through.
As always, it is recorded live in front of the crowd, in one take, facing the full-height mirror, with the sound taken straight off the mixing board and two cameras running. That is the principle of Mirror Groove Session: a monthly electronic music night in Nouméa, New Caledonia, where every set is filmed in multicam and released in full — house, afro house, latin house, tech house, disco and French touch, from an island in the South Pacific.
